OCTOBER'S THEME : COMING HOME TO THE BODY
We talk about self-love a lot. But if we are honest, most of us are still extremely self-critical, constantly trying to “fix” ourselves: our bodies, faces and the parts we wish were different.
Almost every woman has struggled with accepting some part of her body. We compare ourselves to impossible standards, focus on what we believe is wrong, and often treat our bodies as problems to be solved rather than places to live and feel.
Coming home to the body is a return to ourselves after years of judgement and trying to change. It is remembering that we have always been whole, and learning to meet the body with the love and care it has always deserved.
Why Be a Part of the Circle?
For generations, women have gathered in circles to talk, listen, share wisdom, and simply be with one another. There is something powerful about women coming together in this way.
Mokae's Women’s Circle is a space to step away from the many roles we play every day, and come together to be seen, heard, and supported without judgement.
This month, we turn towards the body. Not only how it looks from the outside, but how it feels to live inside it. It is easy to talk about self-love. It is harder to really give ourselves that love. This circle is a space to start.
Through Tantra, embodiment practices, and shared rituals, we will explore what it means to listen to the body, accept the parts we have struggled with, and slowly find our way back to love.
What Will It Feel Like?
Led by Sandhya Shekar, the circle draws on Tantric tools and embodiment practices to help you connect with your body through greater acceptance, care, and understanding.
Come as you are and explore:
-
Breath, movement, and sensation
-
Listening to what your body is asking for
-
Releasing tension held in the body
-
Moving through judgement and self-criticism
-
Reconnecting with pleasure, intuition, and aliveness
-
Rituals that bring self-love into everyday life
-
Sharing, listening, and connecting with women on a similar journey
No prior experience is needed.
About The Facilitator
Sandhya Shekar
A Tantra teacher, Osho Meditation Facilitator, Celebrity Makeup Artist, and Founder of Mokae Beauty, her journey of healing and inner exploration led her to find home in Tantra, which she later studied for four years, including the Osho lineage under Ma Anand Sarita and Classical Tantra.
Her work brings together meditation, embodiment, and self-exploration, creating spaces to reconnect with the body and meet life with greater presence, creativity, and ease.
We hope this becomes a space to know yourself better, meet women on a similar journey of inner wellbeing, and find a community that speaks a language of curiosity, connection, and sisterhood you’ve been looking for all along. A circle to return to, again and again, as you journey deeper into yourself and with one another.
